Entry for all Matchplay Competitions (Cusack Cup and Foursomes) and The Club Championship, have closed.

 

Rules and format:​

• BOTH parties are responsible for arranging to play their match. Contact phone numbers can be accessed via the ClubV1 App or via the Office on 01-8438177 ext1.

• Both parties should endeavour to contact their opponent(s) at the earliest opportunity to arrange their match date and time.

• In the case of a tie in the Cusack Cup and Foursomes Competitions, continue play from the 1st tee and shots are applied on the respective index that applies to each hole.

• The Committee reserves the right to cancel the competitions entirely or to amend all dates (i.e. entry dates/round completion dates) as appropriate.

• Match Results to be submitted through V1.

• No extensions are allowed or can be facilitated, as failure to submit result means no name will go through to next round and a bye will be given. If you need assistance with ClubV1, please contact Karl O’Dea on 086-8371386

Cusack Cup:

• Cost of entry is €10 per player.

• Handicap for singles Matchplay is full strokes differential of your Course Handicap.
  e.g. Course Handicaps (CHC) of 12 -vs- CHC of 23
  Diff is 11, so 11 shots given in match.

 

Mens Foursomes:

• Cost of entry is €10 per team (€5 per player).

• Each team will play with two balls (one per player) which must be clearly marked. One team member will tee off on the odd numbered holes and his playing partner will tee off on the even numbered holes. The player teeing off will be responsible for ‘managing the ball’ during the hole which means he is responsible for teeing off, drops where required, ball marking on the green and ball retrieval from the hole.

• Foursomes Matchplay is played from White Markers.

• Handicap for Foursomes is 50% strokes differential of your Course Handicap.
  e.g. CHC of 7 & 9 gives 16 -vs- CHC 13 & 18 gives 31.
  Diff is 15, so 50% = 7.5, so 8 shots given in match

The Club Championship:

• The cost of entry is €10.

• Qualification for the Club Championship Group Stage will be based on entrant’s gross scores in the Monthly Medal Competitions. A player’s gross total for two out of the four medals held in May, June, July and August will determine his overall qualifying score. The eight players with the lowest gross total, for their best two rounds will qualify for the final eight.

• The final eight will play a 36 hole medal (off scratch) with the first round to be played the week prior to finals day and the second round to be played on Finals Day.

• The Committee reserves the right to alter aspects of the competition dependent on the restrictions that may apply at the time.

• All play will be from the BLUE markers.

 

Farrell Cup:

• Cost of entry €10 per team (€5 per player). Mixed Foursomes played off handicaps of the day.

• Each team will play with two balls (one per player) which must be clearly marked. The Male Team member will tee off on the odd numbered holes and his playing partner will tee off on the even numbered holes. The player teeing off will be responsible for ‘managing the ball’ during the hole which means he/she is responsible for teeing off, drops where required, ball marking on the green and ball retrieval from the hole and play is from the WHITE markers for the men and RED markers for the ladies.

• Handicap Strokes are applied as per the Men’s Course.

• Under the WHS the applicable handicap for Foursomes Matchplay is 50% of the combined COURSE Handicaps of the two players.
